The Brake Man Introduces Talon-A Brake Systems for Oval Track Late Model Racing

The Brake Man, the innovative designer and manufacturer of made-in-America brake systems and components used by motorsport champions and record breakers, introduces Talon-A brake systems specifically designed for asphalt and paved oval track Late Models and Super Late Models.

Talon-AR systems feature Revolution rotors Talon-A Oval Track Late Model brake systems are complete, bolt-on brake upgrades that deliver unmatched stopping power and mid-corner performance, especially during long duration events and on short tracks. The Brake Man has already been a mainstay with Late Model drivers and teams on regional oval tracks and nationwide series including multiple-champions Lowell Bennett and Dennis Long along with ARCA up-and-comers like Chad Hackenbracht.

“There is no margin for error in motorsports so that’s why I turn to The Brake Man,” states Rod Pool, former crew chief for Jack Roush, Lyn St. James plus many NASCAR and Trans-Am teams, who now works with 3-time consecutive track champion Dennis Long. “The Brake Man has performance and durability nailed, making my job that much easier.”

“Oval track racing brings with it a unique set of braking demands,” notes Warren Gilliland, President and Chief Engineer of The Brake Man. “The Brake Man Talon-A brake systems handle the nearly constant sharp-corner braking on a packed track while giving drivers the stopping precision, mid-corner speed, and reliability needed for taking and holding the lead.“

Talon-A by The Brake ManTalon-A Oval Track Late Model brake systems by The Brake Man are direct bolt-on solutions for all popular spindle and hub designs Complete Talon-A systems include brake calipers, brake rotors, brake pads, and residual pressure valves.

The systems start with the industry’s original zero-drag calipers, F4 Tornado™ calipers by The Brake Man, featuring an internal design specific to Talon-A . F4 Tornado calipers are made from high-strength, high-temperature true billet forged aluminum with a hardened steel center section then hard-coated for corrosion resistance. Optional titanium pistons and center sections are available for the maximum in lightweight performance. Standard F4 calipers meet cost rules laid out by the sanctioning bodies of most oval track series.

This 4-piston caliper’s patented design delivers the lowest flex and highest specific torque output of any available Late Model brake caliper. The result is zero pedal drop, even at extreme temperatures, while eliminating pad taper and wedging. Eliminating brake drag lowers operating temperatures and improves mid-corner and exit speed. Superior engineering provides longer component life while an innovative modular construction simplifies repair or conversion. Dual transfer tubes improve internal fluid circulation and bleeding. Talon-A brake systems utilize front symmetrical bore calipers in 1.75” or 1.87” piston sizes and rear symmetrical bore calipers in 1.50″ or 1.38″ piston sizes.

Talon-A brake systems come standard with ProCast vented brake rotors for optimum cooling efficiency. These feature high-quality castings subjected to The Brake Man’s proprietary Dynamogenic™ thermal treatment for longer life and resistance to cracking and warpage. An upgrade to the Talon-AR brake system switches toThe Brake Man’s ultra-lightweight Revolution convoluted rotors front and rear. Designed to maximize strength while minimizing rotating weight, Revolution rotors are the most effective lightweight rotor on the market today and are virtually impervious to warpage.

for late and super late model racing on paved oval tracksA choice of The Brake Man’s Compound #84 or #85 brake pads is also included with Talon-A braking systems. These oval track brake pads are designed for superior high temperature performance and wear with quick bite. The Brake Man offers a wide range of brake pad compounds tailored to specific driving and track environments which can also be packaged as part of these brake systems.

The new Talon-A drag racing brake systems for oval track Late Model and Super Late Model racing are available now through race performance chassis builders and aftermarket retailers or directly from the company. Dwarf Car Racing Brakes Do The Trick in Salem

The Brake Man had a perfect Indoor season at the Salem Indoor Racing season in Salem, Oregon. The only two cars running The Brake Man brakes not only won every race they entered, but also driver George Fisher finished second in points with two heat race wins in his Rookie year.

kevin bensonHowever, the story of the year was Kevin “The Dominator” Benson, the name the Salem Journal newspaper gave him. Kevin entered his Purple #0 car in 15 races, comprised of 10 heat races 5 main events, and won the all. Not only was he winning but leading every lap of every main event.

The Salem Journal named him the Dominator because not only did he win every race but the 2nd place car was 3/4 a lap behind at the checkered flag. The heat races were won no matter if he started on the pole or dead last. No one has ever done that at Salem before.

The Brake Man Introduces Thunderstorm Brake Calipers and Complete Brake Kits for Jeep Wrangler

The Brake Man, the innovative designer and manufacturer of made-in-America brake systems and components used by motorsport champions and record breakers, introduces a bolt-on brake solution for 2007-2013 Jeep Wrangler “JK” owners looking to significantly improve braking performance and capabilities without expensive modifications or fabrication.

Complete brake kits now available for Jeep Wrangler “JK” models

“The Brake Man is already a leader in stopping power across a range of dirt and off-road motorsports from desert race vehicles to Monster Trucks,” states Warren Gilliland, President and Chief Engineer of The Brake Man. “Nobody embodies the heart of this community more than Jeep owners, so we had to develop a simple yet powerful brake solution for their vehicles that would both perform and impress.”

The centerpiece of the offering for Wrangler “JK” models is The Brake Man’s new Jeep Thunderstorm caliper, which blueprints and upgrades the Jeep OE caliper with internals, materials, and technology found on the The Brake Man’s top-of-the-line competition brake systems. The Brake Man’s proprietary TBM Shield™ coating prevents corrosion even in harsh off-road environments, while a high-strength steel piston replaces the “plastic” OEM piston for improved durability and longevity even in high temperature applications. The caliper also offers a reduction in brake drag for improved performance that lasts while putting more power to the ground for better fuel economy.

Also available now are Jeep Wrangler SuperBrake brake rotors and pads that deliver 3-5 times the rotor life over the Wrangler’s OE parts, but also increase overall braking performance by 30%. Like the calipers, the Jeep SuperBrake brake rotors and brake pads are a direct replacement for Jeep factory components, requiring no modification, and will not void any warranty.

SuperBrake rotors undergo The Brake Man’s proprietary Dynamogenic™ extended thermal process, eliminating internal stresses found in most cast rotors. This increases rotor longevity and thermal capability while reduces or eliminates warping. Jeep SuperBrake brake pads are available in several compounds to meet specific vehicle’s driving profile. Each compound offers and improvement in torque output and pad life over Jeep’s OE and similar aftermarket compounds. The pads are processed to eliminate complicated bed-in and provide improved feel for more driver confidence and comfort.

The Brake Man brakes for Jeep Wrangler “JK” models can be purchased as components or as a complete bolt-on brake package that combines the benefits of Thunderstorm calipers and SuperBrake pads and rotors. Complete packages are ideal for daily drivers, weekend trail blazers, or all-out rock rigs.

Jeep Wrangler brake components and packages are initially available through GenRight Off Road, the leader in Jeep performance, at http://www.GenRight.com or (805) 584-8635. GenRight relies on The Brake Man’s awesome stopping power and reliability for their professional off-road racing team.
